Flights from London to Amsterdam from any of the London airports have a flying time of only about 45 minutes. Flying to Amsterdam from London is easily the best option, even if you have travel time to spare. Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is a pleasant and efficient modern airport, and there are cheap and regular train connections for the short journey into the city centre.
The cheapest flights to Amsterdam from London are likely to be with easyJet, who fly from London Gatwick, London Luton, and London Stansted airports. They operate numerous flights every day from each airport, and you should be able to pick up a cheap fare is you book ahead and don’t mind travelling outside peak times.
Other options are British Airways, who fly from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London City airports, and the Dutch airline KLM, whose flights to Amsterdam go from London Heathrow and London City airports.
From 1st November 2014 there will also be weekend flights from London City Airport on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings with Flybe.
