Brands hatch for the London 2012 Paralympics (c) London 2012
From central London to Brands Hatch motor racing circuit, where the Paralympics Road Cycling is being held for the London 2012 Paralympics, is a little over 20 miles (32kms). Brands Hatch is south east of the city and in average traffic conditions it should only take about 45 minutes to drive there from London.
Brands Hatch is not far off the M25 motorway which circles London, so if you are staying close to the M25 you can get there by driving around the M25 and exiting onto the M20, then follow the signs for Brands Hatch.
London to Brands Hatch by Train
If you have a ticket for the Paralympics Road Cycling then the ticket price includes the cost of rail travel from London. The nearest main station to Brands Hatch is Sevenoaks in Kent, which is about 10 miles (16kms) from the Brands Hatch circuit. Shuttle buses will be available during the Paralympics Road Cycling events to transport people between Sevenoaks station and the venue. Sevenoaks can be reached from both London Bridge and London Charing Cross stations.
London to Brands Hatch: Other Options
Taking the train from London to Brands Hatch, and driving to Brands Hatch, are the only two realistic options. There is no Megabus or National Express bus service from London to Sevenoaks, and Brands hatch is too far out from London to be on the underground or Dockland Light Railway network.
