If you want to go from London to Winchester by bus then National Express run buses daily to Winchester from London’s Victoria Coach Station. There are several buses a day, and the fast services take about 2 hours. There are, however, some slower services which stop more frequently, and the journey time can be up to 4 hours. Unlike the train, where you can simply turn up, bus services aren’t frequent enough for that and you should book a bus ticket in advance, and make sure it’s for a fast service.
The bus stops in the centre of Winchester, on Broadway, convenient for the Tourist Information Centre, Winchester Cathedral, and the other main attractions.
